Travel Goods, Built for Repeat Production

Build a product the factory can make consistently.

We support luggage and travel-goods brands through product development, factory selection, production management and quality control. You contract the factory directly, see its invoice in full and work with one team from the first specification through repeat production.

One team across a travel-goods collection

Hardside and softside luggage, weekenders, backpacks and business bags require different construction knowledge. We coordinate them through one development and quality process.

Where the work actually happens

The value we bring is built on the factory floor — in the cutting room, at the line, and at the inspection station. That is where the work that changes outcomes is done.

Where Brands Get Stuck

Six supply-chain gaps that put a launch at risk

A strong concept can still be delayed by repeated sampling, inconsistent bulk production, missing compliance records or an unclear warranty plan. These costs rarely appear in the first quotation, but they affect the launch date, landed cost and customer experience.

1Factory hunting that eats two quarters

Six months of Alibaba messages, samples that arrive wrong, and no way to tell a real factory from a trading company with a nice showroom.

2The MOQ wall

You need 300 units to test a market. Every factory you find wants 1,000. So you either over-commit capital or abandon the product.

3The golden sample that never survived production

A beautiful sample proves somebody can make one good unit. It says nothing about a run of 500. Different operators, different material lots, and a defect rate you only discover once the goods have landed in your 3PL.

4Compliance surprises that block retail

A retailer or marketplace asks for a social audit, a chemical test report, or traceability documentation — and nobody can produce it in time.

5The margin nobody will show you

You are quoted a unit price with no breakdown. Somewhere inside it is a margin you are paying for the privilege of not knowing who actually makes your product.

6Communication that runs on hope

Time zones, language gaps, and a factory rep who answers "yes" to everything — then delivers something you did not ask for.

Where This Ends

A strong brand needs a product the supply chain can repeat.

We translate the product idea into specifications, factory decisions and production controls that remain consistent after the approved sample.

What We Actually Do

Seven connected capabilities

Each stage is managed against the same brief, cost target and quality standard, so important decisions are not lost between separate service providers.

Product Design & Development

Concept to tech pack: structure, hardware, materials, tolerances, and the drawings a factory can actually build from.

Material & Component Sourcing

Shells, linings, zippers, wheels, handles and hardware — specified, costed and traceable to their source.

Production Management & Capacity

Factory selection, capacity planning, production scheduling and line allocation matched to your volume.

Quality Control

Incoming, in-process and pre-shipment inspection against AQL, with photo-documented reports you can act on.

Logistics & Customs

Freight, consolidation, documentation and customs clearance — with the HS classification done correctly the first time.

Social Compliance & ESG

Factory audits, chemical and physical testing, and the documentation retailers and marketplaces require.

After-Sales & Improvement

Defect analysis, corrective action at the factory, and a post-season review that lowers cost on the next run.

Product development, supplier management, production scheduling, compliance, quality, logistics and after-sales — all handled, all documented. You design and sell.

Just Funded?

The campaign was the easy part

Crowdfunding proves people want your bag. It does not build one. Most funded hardware and bag campaigns that ship late do not miss their date because the design was wrong — they miss it because tooling, sampling rounds and compliance testing were never scheduled with a realistic buffer.

A delivery date you can defend

We would rather quote you a longer date and hit it than a short one and spend a year answering comments. If your campaign promised a month, we tell you early — not in week eleven.

Tooling sequenced before the countdown ends

Development, tooling and first samples can start while the campaign is still running. That overlap is usually the difference between shipping on schedule and shipping an apology.

Compliance booked before backers ask

REACH, CPSIA and Prop 65 testing has a calendar of its own. Booking it during development means your first shipment clears customs instead of sitting in a bonded warehouse.

Where The Work Lives

Your program runs in a portal, not in an inbox

Every engagement opens a private workspace at myluggagepro.com. Development progress, inspection reports, certificates, spare parts and your compliance calendar live in one place — current, instead of reconstructed from email threads the night before a customer asks.

Illustrative layout — your workspace is built around your own programs, SKUs and factories.

  • Program dashboardEvery program, which stage it is in, who owes whom a decision, and what happens next.
  • Development timelineSix stages from brief to production, with open decisions flagged and overdue items marked — not a status you have to ask for.
  • Specifications & BOMStructure, materials and hardware specifications with a component-level cost breakdown, versioned against each sample round.
  • Inspection reports & defect logIncoming, in-process and pre-shipment reports with photographs, defect severity classification, and corrective actions tracked to closure.
  • Spare parts & RMAReplaceable wheel, trolley and zipper modules, the spare parts BOM, and every claim or supplier thread kept in one record.
  • Compliance calendarTesting, audit and documentation deadlines for your markets — including reported cabin bag changes in the EU — flagged before they become urgent.

Every file is delivered twice over: as a quality record for your team, and as evidence you can publish to your own customers. Sizer measurements, test reports and repair guides are the things a DTC brand is most often asked to prove and least often able to.

How We Charge

You pay the factory. You pay us. You see both.

Most sourcing partners make their money in the gap between what the factory charges and what you are billed. We removed the gap and replaced it with a disclosed commission.

Typical sourcing route

  • One bundled unit price, no cost breakdown
  • You never speak to the factory directly
  • Markup scales with your volume
  • Incentive is to keep you from knowing the real cost

Working with PreLuggage

  • Factory invoice shown to you in full
  • You hold the factory relationship and contract
  • Commission agreed up front, disclosed on every order
  • Incentive is to lower your cost, not defend a margin

We are paid for the work, not for the spread. If the factory price drops, your cost drops — your commission does not quietly absorb the difference.

We spent our careers inside the brands you are trying to build. The value we bring is not a factory list — it is knowing which question to ask before the mistake gets manufactured.
